How This Addendum Works
This addendum sets the specific terms for our website design and development services. It's intended for projects where the primary goal is to create a professional, content-focused website using established platforms like WordPress or Webflow.
It works together with our Master Terms of Service (MTS) and your project's Statement of Work (SoW). For more complex projects involving custom software or mobile apps, our other development addenda would apply.
Our Role as Principal Contractor
For all projects governed by this Website Design Addendum, The Design Hammock acts as the Principal Contractor. This means we take full responsibility for the entire project as outlined in the SoW, including the management and quality of any specialist designers or developers we may bring on to assist. The total project fee you pay to us covers all aspects of the work.
The Design & Revision Process
Our goal is to create a design you love, and your feedback is a key part of that.
Design Presentation
We will present a design concept for your review based on our initial discussions and your brand identity.
Rounds of Revisions
Your project fee includes a set number of revision rounds, which will be specified in your SoW (typically two). A "revision round" consists of a list of feedback and changes you provide after a design presentation.
Additional Revisions
Any further changes requested after your included revision rounds are complete will be considered out of scope and will be handled via a Change Order. This process ensures we can deliver your project on time and on budget.
Your Content is Key
A website is only as good as its content. To ensure a successful and timely launch, you are responsible for providing all necessary website content, including:
- All text for the website pages.
- High-quality images, logos, and any other brand assets.
We ask that all final content be provided before the development phase begins. Delays in providing content can cause significant delays in the project timeline, which may require a Change Order.
What's Not Included
This addendum covers the design and build of your website. Unless specified in your SoW, the following are not included:
- Website Hosting & Ongoing Maintenance: These are covered by our separate Hosting & Maintenance Addendum.
- Content Creation or Copywriting.
- Advanced Custom Functionality: Any features beyond the standard capabilities of the chosen platform (e.g., WordPress) would be scoped as a custom development project.
- SEO & Digital Marketing.
