In addition to the General Terms, these terms and conditions govern the use of The Design Hammock Runtime Development services. By contracting The Design Hammock for the services a client will be lawfully regarded as having agreed to their use of the services specified being governed by this Agreement.
Application and initiation
- Application and initiation will be dealt with as per the general terms.
- In addition to the General Terms, these terms and conditions govern the use of The Design Hammock Web Development services. By contracting The Design Hammock for the services a client will be lawfully regarded as having agreed to their use of the services specified being governed by this Agreement.
- The Design Hammock will perform services as described in an Estimate.
- The client will provide signed acceptance of the estimate to The Design Hammock as proof of acceptance.
- Any additional services requested by the client or its agent(s) after Estimate acceptance will incur additional charges and alter deliverables timelines.
- Estimates provided to the client are valid for a period of 30 days. The Design Hammock reserves the right to alter or decline to provide a quotation after the expiry of the 30 days.

Attribution
- The Design Hammock reserves the right to place a link to The Design Hammock website (https://thedesignhammock.co.za) within the footer of the developed website.
- The Design Hammock reserves the right to create portfolio posts on The Design Hammock website (https://thedesignhammock.co.za) for all development and design work created.
Programming languages, platforms & Frameworks
- During the rendering of the service described in the project estimate, The Design Hammock will employ the use of programming languages and frameworks to develop the goods.
- By contracting The Design Hammock’s applications server development services, the client accepts the use of the proposed programming languages and frameworks.
Standard Media Delivery
- Unless otherwise specified in the project estimate, this Agreement assumes that any text will be provided by the Client in electronic format (via e-mail or another suitable and mutually agreed upon free-to-use third-party service E.g. Google Drive) and that all photographs and other graphics will be provided physically in high-quality print suitable for scanning or electronically in .gif, .jpeg, .png or .tiff format.
Intellectual Property
- Do not submit any ideas, inventions, works of authorship, or other information that can be considered your own intellectual property that you would like to present to us unless we have first signed an agreement regarding the intellectual property or a non-disclosure agreement. If you disclose it to us absent such written agreement, you grant to us a worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, store, adapt, publish, translate and distribute your content in any existing or future media.
- It is the client’s sole responsibility to ensure that the content, images, trademarks and other artwork supplied to The Design Hammock for the use of the project, are owned by the client, or that the client has the necessary permission from the rightful owner to make use of such content. The Design Hammock, accepts no responsibility in the event that such ownership or right of use is legally disputed.
Payments and penalties
- Payment will be dealt with as per the general terms.
- Charges for services to be provided by The Design Hammock are defined in the project quotation that the Client receives via e-mail, unless otherwise discussed.
- Additional service charges will be payable in the event of service alterations after estimate approval.
